2023 was a good year that included more road trips with the pups, a 25 year high school reunion, a whole lotta concerts!
We continued our Texas road trip series with visits to Amarillo and San Antonio this year.
Amarillo was a chill, very relaxed town. We visited the Route 66 stations and some small museums, like the RV Museum and Bill's Classic Cars as well as drove around town finding cool art. We saw the very famous Cadillac Ranch, Ozymandias of The Plains, and Bug Ranch. The highlight for me was the Palo Duro Canyon (Second largest canyon in the country)! We definitely will be coming back here to explore some more. It has so many hiking trails and beautiful scenery, we only had a day and it was not enough!
We also visited San Antonio and this has become one of our faves here in Texas... What a beautiful city with so much to explore!
We toured The Alamo and several other Missions, the beautiful Riverwalk, a Japanese Tea Garden, the Natural Bridge Caverns, Market Square, Tower of the Americas, and just walked and explored the city. We will also be back here, we still have so much to see and want to repeat some of our faves!
This year we made it to 15 years of marriage and took a little sunset cruise to celebrate!
We also got to dress up and party at fun events with friends here in the DFW, did a quick trip to Tampa to see family and meet little Leandrito plus attended my 25 year high school reunion, Kiiing Hiiiigh!
For Thanksgiving we welcomed some family to our home and my parents will be with us for Christmas and to welcome 2024!!
And let's not forget... We finally made it to Buc-ee's!! We heard about this so much and it was everything I wished for and more. hahaha
The pups are still living their best life... Bolt is now 6 and Star turned 5 and they both act live they are 2. They are the best pups!
2023 was a good year but it flew by, I still can't believe I am writing this because I don't know how it is December 2023 already!
Always missing and thinking of our loved ones and wishing 2024 will bring you love, peace, and happiness.
Happy Holidays!!
Lots of love,
Xoxo ~ The Wallens
